It all starts with quality fish

At Chugach View we strive for the highest quality fish possible. Only a small portion of our catch is bound for your plate. We select for large bright high quality fish ensuring the peak of freshness, taste and texture. All of our salmon are immediately bled into buckets of seawater as soon as it is removed by hand from the net. After bleeding fish are placed into ice brine solutions which super chill the fish inhibiting enzymes and bacteria which degrade the flesh of salmon as soon as they die. At the end of the day we deliver our catch to a larger vessel called a tender. The tender continues to keep the fish in an ice brine ensuring they remain cold for the journey to our processing facility where the fish is expertly processed packaged and flash frozen.

Simply put, our process is exactly the same as how we feed fish to our families.
